Cookies Definition
The cookies are small text data files that are stored on a computer or mobile phone by the websites visited.
Cookies are often used by the website owners to facilitate the operation of the website or to remember visitors’ activities and preferences, to provide personalized / customized content on the website and to display its navigation history. These text files can be read by the websites visited and help identify the visitor when revisiting the website.
Cookies placed by the website owner or service provider (in this case the project Education for Employment in North Macedonia – E4E@мк) are called “cookies on the first page”. Cookies placed by other parties, and not by the website owner, are called “third-party cookies”.
Permanent cookies: These cookies remain on the user’s device for a period of time specified in the cookie itself. They are activated every time the user visits the website that has placed that cookie.
Session cookies: These cookies allow website operators to link user actions during a session in the browser from which the user is accessing. The session starts when the visitor launches a browser window and ends when it closes the browser window. Session cookies are stored temporarily. Once you close the browser, all session cookies are deleted.
Which cookies we use and why?
Generally, a website uses a cookie to distinguish a visitor from other visitors of the website. This primarily helps the project to provide the visitor a good experience when the visitor searches the website and allows the project to improve it. Cookies are also used to facilitate the operation of the website or to remember the visitors’ activities and preferences, to provide personalized / customized content on the website and to display its navigation history. The cookies which can be used by the project on the website can be categorized as follows:
i. Essential
Essential cookies allow the visitor to navigate through the web page and use the basic features of the page. Without these cookies, the project cannot provide the required services.
The project uses these cookies in order to:
- Identify the visitor as logged in to the website and to authenticate the visitor
- Ensure that the visitor is connected to the appropriate website service when making any changes to the way the project website operates
- Implement security measures
If the visitor declines i.e. prevent these cookies, the project cannot guarantee the operation and the functioning of the website during a visit.
When do we require your consent
Essential cookies do not require consent from a visitor. The project informs the visitor about the same when accessing the website. All other cookies require consent.
The project seeks consent before placing cookies on the device of the visitor. The visitor can provide consent by clicking on the appropriate button on the banner displayed at the beginning of the visit on the project website. If the visitor does not wish to consent or wishes to withdraw a previously provided consent to any cookies at any time, the visitor will need to delete and block i.e. disable the cookies through the browser settings. See below in this policy for how to carry out this action. Please note that disabling these cookies will affect the functionality of the website and may prevent the visitor from accessing certain features of the website.
How to delete or block cookies
Most web browsers provide limited control over most cookies through the browser settings. However, when the visitor uses the browser settings to block all cookies (including the essential cookies), the visitor may not be able to access the entire webpage or parts of it.
Change cookie settings. The browser settings to change the cookie settings are usually found in the menu of the browser, specifically under ‘options’ or ‘preferences’ menu.
