Thirty representatives from state institutions responsible for vocational education and training participated at the training “Better educational policies through quality research”, carried out by the Institute for Strategic Research and Education – ISIE.
The training was carried out within the project Education for Employment in North Macedonia from the 15thtill the 17th of July in Skopje. The objective of the training was to strengthen the capacities of the representatives of the Ministry of Education and Science, the State Educational Inspectorate, the Vocational Education and Training Center, the Adult Education Center as well as the Economic Chamber of Macedonia. In addition, the training was used to emphasize the importance of the evidence based creation and enactment of educational policies.
Besides the theoretical elaborations on the key terms, approaches and trends in the social sciences research, via numerous exercises and activities, the trainers lead the participants through the process of research: formulating a problem and a research question, formulating a hypothesis, selection of most adequate research methods, research risks, formulating survey questions and provided answers and formulating recommendations on the basis of obtained results from a carried out research.
