Exchange of ideas and experiences for the vocational education and training aimed at the labor market needs

The Swiss projects “Education for Employment in North Macedonia” and “Moja Budućnost” from Bosnia and Herzegovina held a two-day exchange in Skopje with participation of high-level government representatives from the Zenica-Doboj canton and the Republic of North Macedonia.

The key topics of several meetings were the improvements of the legal framework for secondary vocational education and the labor law in terms of providing modern education and skills acquisition for the young people in the schools and at the workplace in the companies, the role of the private sector and methodologies for predicting the skills and workforce.

The delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina visited the Secondary Vocational School “Mihajlo Pupin” from Skopje and the company EVN, where they had the opportunity to witness the successful cooperation in the realization of the dual vocational education and training.

The delegation from Bosnia and Herzegovina composed of the Minister and Deputy Minister for Education, Science, Culture and Sports, the Deputy Minister of Labor and Social Policy and the President of the Chamber of Commerce of Bosnia and Herzegovina met with representatives from the Ministry of Education and Science, Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and with the Executive Director of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia.
