E4E@mk leads in supporting reforms for quality vocational education and training.
WHAT WE DO
The E4E@mk project acts as a facilitator between educational institutions and the private sector, aiming to equip young people with the skills demanded by the market, making it easier for them to find employment.
Market- Oriented Secondary Vocational Education
We are transforming the way students acquire job skills! By increasing the involvement of employers in secondary vocational education through dual education, we support processes aimed at improving quality, ensuring that young people are well-prepared for the labor market.
Private Sector Invests in Quality Education
The best learning happens on the job! In collaboration with the private sector, we jointly invest in enhancing the knowledge, skills, and competencies gained in the workplace.

SUCCESS STORIES
The Education for Employment in North Macedonia (E4E@mk) project is supported by the Swiss Agency for Development and Cooperation and is implemented by HELVETAS North Macedonia, the Macedonian Civic Education Center and the Economic Chamber of Macedonia. The main objective of the project is to contribute towards a more gainful employment of youth (ages 15 – 29), including vulnerable groups, in a socially inclusive and sustainable way.
Switzerland has supported the transition processes in North Macedonia since 1992. This cooperation is grounded in Switzerland’s tradition of solidarity and reflects the importance that Switzerland places on the stability and prosperity of the Western Balkans. Today, Switzerland ranks among the largest bilateral cooperation partners to North Macedonia, with financial support of EUR 69 million for the period 2017 – 2020. Switzerland’s cooperation program focuses on three priority domains in North Macedonia: democratic governance, employment and economic development, as well as infrastructure and environment.
