With the support of the Education for Employment Project in Northern Macedonia (E4E@mk) and the European Training Foundation (ETF), the Vocational Education and Training Centar has prepared a Concept for Work-Based Learning, which was adopted by the Ministry of Education and Science in April 2020.
The concept refers to and supports the introduction of the reformed four-year (technical) education and training which began its implementation with the first year students in the academic year 2019/2020.
The work-based learning is a real job and is directly related to the production of goods and services. In addition, the work-based learning is a platform for upgrading the knowledge of the young people that in many developed countries creates generations of skilled and employed persons.
It is expected that this type of learning and its quality implementation, in cooperation with the schools and employers will meet the educational and career needs of the young people, including the self-employment, as well as the needs of the economy for qualified and competitive staff.
The concept is available on the websites of the Ministry of Education and Science and the Center for Vocational Education and Training, at the links below.
