Through workshops for transfer of ” Uci Pametno Raboti Strucno” at local level, the municipalities from the Republic of North Macedonia are making the next steps for advancing the dual model of vocational education and training at local level.
From 2023, the municipalities and the secondary vocational education and training schools, in cooperation with the private sector companies, will implement:
- Market analysis of the local companies workforce needs and their preparedness for practical training of students on local level.
- The Social Dialog „Uci Pametno Raboti strucno“.
- Meetings between Schools and Companies/Employers for establishment of partnerships.
- Promotional Open Days „Uci Pametno Raboti strucno“ in secondary VET schools.
In the past years, the process of “Uci Pametno Raboti Strucno” was implemented under the leadership of the Ministry of Education and Science, the Vocational Education and Training Center and the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia, with the support of the Government of Switzerland through the project Education for Employment in North Macedonia – E4E@мк. From national level, now the process of “Uci Pametno Raboti Strucno” is being transfered at local level to the municipalities, which are the pillars of the local economic development and the advancement of the dual vocational education.
Through these workshops, the municipalities and the secondary vocational schools are preparing for the implementation of the “Uci Pametno Raboti Strucno” process, which in recent years has successfully supported the advancement of vocational education and training, especially the dual education, and helped achieve the following results:
- Involvement of 450 companies in dual education.
- Involvement of 61 secondary vocational schools in dual education.
- Establishment of over 250 dual classes in secondary vocational schools.
- Enrollment of over 4500 students in dual classes at state level.
- Inclusion of over 60 professions and 14 sectors in dual education.
- Increasing the number of certified mentors in companies.
For involvement of all relevant entities at local level and for comprehensive implementation of the “Uci Pametno Raboti Strucno” process, the workshops are attended by municipality representatives responsible for education, representatives from the Local Economic Development, VET school principals, coordinators of the work-based-learning process, teachers and representatives of the Economic Chamber of North Macedonia.

Workshop on 07.12.2022 for the municipalities of Kočani, Berovo, Vinica, Delčevo, Makedonska Kamenica, Pehčevo, Kratovo and Probishtip.
Workshop on 12/12/2022 for the municipalities of Strumica, Bogdanci, Valandovo, Gevgelija, Radovish and Shtip.
The workshop for the City of Skopje and the Municipality of Ilinden is carried out on 13.12.2022.
The work meeting for the municipalities of Bitola, Demir Hisar, Krushevo, Prilep and Resen is carried out on 14.12.2022.
The working meeting for the municipalities of Kichevo, Makedonski Brod, Struga, Ohrid, Gostivar, Tetovo, Debar and Vrapcishte is carried out on 16.12.2022.
